Seeley Honda 750 F2

The History
Colin Seeley designed a road-based frame kit for the Honda CB 750 the goals included less weight, lower centre of gravity, lower seat height, 7 tested and the bike was shown to the public at the 76 Earls Court bike show.
In 1977 Colin gained TUV approval for sales in Germany as well as the UK

The 1977 the Seeley brochure for K-series/F1/F2 single seat model listed a 5.5-gallon hand beaten alloy 'supertank', glass seat, front guard and fairing. Taper roller head bearings top and bottom, with options of a 4.5-gallon tank with dual seat, Lester wheels, dual front Hunt discs, Avon Roadrunner tyres. Price in 1977 with Lester wheels was £1295. (There are 3 versions of road bikes and 1 for racing)
 

 This Bike (Racing version)

Only 4 race versions were built, the engine is 1978 F2, the F2 came with alloy wheels, bigger valves, larger carburetors and few other engine mods to up the overall power to 73BHP. The racing version uses a Seely central oil tank and lower petrol tank, the head stock is also shortened by 1 1/8 inch to allow a better riding position. The frame is made from 11/8 in 17-gauge Reynolds 531 chrome molybdenum duplex tube cradle frame, and the swinging arm is made from 1 ¾ in 14-gauge Reynolds 531.
There is a 28-degree steering head for high speed stability with taper roller bearings. Phosphor bronze swinging arm bushes. Precision chain adjustment.

Dimensions are: 56.6in wheelbase, 30in seat height, ground clearance 6in, castor angle 62 deg, trail 9in. 
Frame and swinging arm have a total weight of 34lb

The bike rebuilt in 2020/1 is used at CRMC events and Spa and the isle of Man Classic TT, but also has a day time MOT so is used on the roads on nice days
